New Investments at MDC Max Daetwyler Eesti AS: CNC Laser Cutting Equipment and Bending Presses
We are pleased to announce that MDC Max Daetwyler Eesti AS has made significant investments to improve our production capabilities. Last year, we acquired new CNC-controlled laser cutting equipment and two bending presses. These machines allow us to perform high-quality and precise material preparation for our welded structures and large assembly projects.
We have now achieved proficiency and process reliability with these machines and are ready to offer our services to a larger client base. Additionally, we cannot forget our two CNC milling centers, Uniport 6000 and Uniport 6, where we process highly precise welded structures.
These investments enable us to offer clients the entire supply chain, from material preparation to assembly, ensuring high-quality end products.

Charity projects at MDC Estonia
Charity is an important part of any community, providing support to those who need it most. At MDC Estonia, we are committed to making a difference through various charitable projects. For many years, our company has been actively involved in initiatives that help to improve the quality of life for people in need.
Every year, our team helps to pack food at the Tallinn Food Bank and organizes on-site food collection days. Food donations from employees are collected over a couple of weeks, with additional contributions from the company. The donated goods are forwarded to the Tallinn Food Bank and distributed to those in need.
Additionally, we have been a long-standing supporter of the charity project "Successful companies help children in need", organized by the newspaper Postimees. Through this project, donations are used to purchase food baskets, which are then delivered to the families in need across Estonia. This support is especially crucial during the summer holidays when children miss out on school meals.
We are proud of our employees, who contribute and hope that our activities inspire other companies to engage in charitable efforts.

Events at MDC Estonia in 2023
Due to the Covid restrictions in previous years, organising events was difficult and we had to find ways to make them happen. This period was characterised by outdoor events and reduced staffing. Several events had to be cancelled.
As a family-friendly employer, we have already held two events for our staff and their families this year. The first event was an open day on the 4th of June, where employees had the opportunity to show their workplace to family members. There were tours to the production facilities and entertainment was provided by a science show. The second event was a lantern tour on the 27th of August, where a 7 km historical walk took us into the tunnels of Peter the Great's sea fortress.
Our traditional summer barbecue was held just before the collective holiday. In previous years, the summer event also included the families of employees, but due to covid restrictions the event became a party for employees only. It proved to be very popular and therefore we will keep the same format in the future.
There were also a total of 3 events for smaller teams. The staff of the production office went bowling together, the assembly department went ATV riding and the welders played motor paintball. With these events, the company wants to promote team spirit and give employees the opportunity to spend time with colleagues outside the work environment.
Also long awaited was the opportunity for job shadowing, which last took place in 2019. This summer, it was once again possible to accompany colleagues and learn about another job in our company. A total of 17 shadowing sessions took place. In some cases the employees also had the chance to get involved and try out a new skill.
This year, on the 2nd of December we will be holding a company Christmas party again. All employees together with their partners are cordially invited.
Sustainably healthy!
Shortly before the first hot summer days, we installed a water dispenser at the Ursenbach plant. You can choose between sparkling, chilled and non-chilled - depending on your preferences and the outside temperature. The water dispenser is being used diligently. By mid-October, 1016 bottles had been saved - a plus for health and environment. And as a small, healthy snack, our employees can choose between different fruits, which are delivered fresh twice a week.
Fire safety training in MDC Estonia
Last week the fire brigades of Lasnamäe and Assaku visited our company.
They inspected fire safety in the office building and in the production buildings, especially high risk fire areas. The rescue teams were given an overview of how to act in case of emergency on our premises. In total, 4 teams from both rescue centres visited our company.
In general, our company received a positive fire safety assessment. In the future, we are planning to organise a joint training with the fire brigade for our employees on fire response and evacuation.
